Civil Part 77
Dedicated 14 CFR 77.19 rule pack for supported fixed-wing surface families.
Independent criteria families
This page describes how Clear Path separates independent criteria categories. It is a preliminary evaluation platform and does not claim legal authority, official regulatory status, or replacement of official aeronautical review by the authority having jurisdiction.
Dedicated 14 CFR 77.19 rule pack for supported fixed-wing surface families.
Separate 14 CFR 77.21 rule pack; not blended with civil Part 77 or UFC.
AC 150/5300-13B entries encoded separately from Part 77.
UFC 3-260-01 entries encoded as an independent military criteria pack.
14 CFR 77.19
Civil Part 77 uses a dedicated 14 CFR 77.19 rule pack in this evaluator. The active pack includes civil airport primary, approach, transitional, horizontal, and conical surface families for the selected runway approach type, subject to the documented known limitations of the current release. Part 77 also includes separate heliport criteria under 14 CFR 77.23, but this release does not yet encode those heliport surfaces and does not infer them from fixed-wing airport logic.
14 CFR 77.21
DoD Part 77 uses a separate 14 CFR 77.21 rule pack. It is not blended with civil Part 77 and it is not presented as UFC criteria. The current pack includes DoD primary, clear zone, approach clearance, transitional, inner horizontal, conical, and outer horizontal entries where encoded. Unsupported 14 CFR 77.23 heliport / rotor-wing paths remain not evaluated rather than assumed clear.
AC 150/5300-13B
FAA Criteria use AC 150/5300-13B entries encoded separately from Part 77. The current pack includes source-traceable Runway Protection Zone (RPZ), approach protection, instrument departure, and OFZ references. Partial rows remain labeled PARTIAL, TODO, or dependency-gated instead of being silently treated as complete. FAA heliport / rotor-wing design criteria require a separate criteria path and are not inferred from fixed-wing runway rows in the current release.
UFC 3-260-01
UFC Criteria use UFC 3-260-01 entries encoded as an independent military criteria pack. The current evaluation pipeline uses branch-specific rule packs. Air Force defaults to Class B for standard fixed-wing runway mode and also exposes a separate rotor-wing facility option, but rotor-wing criteria remain unsupported/TODO in the current release. UFC APZ is shown as a planning / land-use zone only in this release and is not treated as an independent vertical obstruction pass/fail. Branch/class/facility gaps remain visible as not-yet-encoded criteria rather than cross-branch substitutions.
